Welcome, We are the Coalville & District Group of The Ramblers Association and are based around the ex-mining, and aptly named, town of Coalville in the North-West District of Leicestershire.
Walks on our doorstep are interesting and varied having the rugged and beautiful Charnwood Forest to the North-east and being in the newly created New National Forest new areas of permissive access are appearing all the time.
We are a small friendly group who aim to provide a varied programme of walks ranging from short summer evening walks to longer full day walks, usually with a good pub stop arranged.
New walkers are welcome to join us for up to three walks, after which they must be paid up members of the Ramblers Association.
We welcome well behaved dogs on our walks.
